Default preferred rx handling method

Just wondering. Maybe I should have made this a pole,,,,, but whats the preferred method of handling the radio controll,,, do you prefer using thumbs or the "tri finger" method,,, and also do you use a strap to hold the rx?
So far, just using/practicing with G2 I've been sitting and using my thumbs on the sticks. I ordered a strap, to practice with. The finger thing seems weird. Does that take some getting used to, and is it an advantage/better? Or is it just whatever the **** you're comfortable with? I figure I should start practice standing up since thats how I'm going to be flying anyway. But how do all of you Professionals & Beginners fly? I'm interseted to know.
Thanks in advance,
Joe
