A helicopter takes a lot of energy. I don't believe a solar power chopper will work.

This question is not about helicopters exactly, but i know this phenomenon occurs with helicopters too.

I have built a 'battlebot' for my local school robot competitions, similar to Ziggo... u may already see where im going with this. I have hit a snag, as i have been unable to steer straight while my spinner is in motion. How can i counter this? i know helicopters use that rotor on their tail, but this robot is on the ground. would a gyro work to counter the force, or am i not understanding what a gyro does? any thoughts?

thanks</p>

i think yes, people use a gyro to compinsate for over steer in rwd cars. so maybe it would work. i'm just thinking out loud, so bear with me

A gyro might help. I've been using an inexpensiveheli gyro in my drift car and it makes control a lot easier.
