Clunk line material...

Quick question.....is the fuel tubing used outside the tank the same as the line inside the tank to the clunk? Iwant to change my clunk line and Ibought a few feet of blue fuel line.....will it work for the clunk also? Thanks.

A lot of people that i know, including me use Hayes neoprene fuel line:

There are 2 quirks with the use of this line:
1. it needs to be approximately 1/4 inch shorter than the existing line. if not cut shorter, It will expand and potentially block off fuel flow if it gets trapped in the back of the fuel tank.
2. It will turn your fuel dark (black) for the first few tanks, but no worries about it.
It will remain flexible for a lot longer than silicone line will.
