Default Shuttle Z Setup

Hey everyone. I recently inherited this Shuttle Z. I have many electrics and nitro airplanes, cars but this is my first heli. Its what I'm flying...I know its old but its what I have so please refrain from the go get a new one remarks....thanks Sooo...I'm confused about the thottle/pitch setup. Having got a manual, I am running five servos instead of four with the throttle /pitch combo. Now throttle is easy but I don't understand why pitch is on its own servo. The servo is on a toggle on top of the radio...is this right? No its not 3D. Also how do I get the pitch to change when throttleing up/ if its supposed to. I see most have three settings -8 0 +10 <- I dont understand unless its an idle up switch. Okay Im babbling now. Please help. Oh I got the radio free with it also new in the box. Pic below
