Rotors Turn Even With Throttle at Zero
I have a Syma 9081 3-Channel X-Rotational Electric R/C helicopter. After a hard crash, two rotors were broken and the canopy was shredded. After getting spare parts and rebuilding it, there is still a problem.
The rotors start to turn after the controller is turned on, even with the throttle at the lowest position. The rotation speed increases with increasing throttle, but bringing it all the way back down does not stop the rotors from turning. Has anyone seen this type of problem before? Maybe some adjustment of the receiver? I can't see any other obvious problems. The receiver board looks to be OK with no obvious damage. I don't really want to replace it unless I am pretty confident thats the problem, but I don't know where else to look for any failures. Any advice appreciated. TIA! |
RE: Rotors Turn Even With Throttle at Zero
welcome to the forum. are you turning the heli off first, before the remote? you never turn off the remote without turning off the receiver first. and this will apply to all rc's

Check your trim setting. The little sliding button / lever next to the throttle. If the lever isnt all the way down, the prop will turn

Thanks for the replies! It did appear to be the trim (doh!). Oh well, I am total newbie to RC...
I had never heard that about turning off the vehicle before the controller. Thanks! |
