servos
hey guys i have standard futaba 3003 servos in my hawk pro are these good enough ? or should i put some high tourqe in it?just dont want to loose it over a stripped gear thanks

RE: servos
Depends on your flying. I wouldn't thump on it but they are fairly stout, if not very fast or precise.

RE: servos
ok im basicly hovering and some figure 8 flight the reason i asked the question is because the servo arms have a little play in it

RE: servos
A little play (a very little) isn't a worry unless it's getting worse. The 3003s are pretty basic servos for a helicopter, though they'd probably be fine in a sport plane. It's expensive to go for faster ones, though- the least expensive full-size servos that I've used were JR DS821s at $30 apiece.
If you feel like it's sloppy, or the controls are mushy, then by all means get stronger ones, but otherwise, if it flies ok, then just go have fun. |
RE: servos
they dont feel bad when im flying so maybe down the road i will throw in some bb servos but thanks for your advise

RE: servos
I just recently purchased the same helicopter (Hawk Pro) and I too was wondering what servos would work best.
Does a helicopter benefit from high torque and metal gear servos or is it more important that they be "fast"? I also see that a lot of people use digital servos, does this have a noticeable benefit? |
RE: servos
I have a blade cx 2 and the bottom blade broke so i replaced it and now the 2 blades won't balance because the circle thing doesn't keep it up straight now. Can i fix it or do i need to replace it?

RE: servos
i would go with bb servos or high tourqe just to be safe
