Default First Heli... TREX 600... Maiden Problems

Well was flying great thanks to all my practice on the the sim. flew for 5 mins and the it abruptly died abt 60 ft high.. i autoed it all the way dow and only damage was the landing skids.. upon investigation the coil of the brand new glow plug was completely burnt out and that was the problem. put a new one in a fired right up.. the engine is a OS50sx-h.....

I was just curious to what may cause these problems.... i.e. to lean or somethin else...just really dont want it to happen again...

Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!</p>

Yes, 99% chance that it was because it was set far too lean - specially for a new motor!!

The motor isnt 100% new but could still be the problem... and when runing i noticed a small amt of fuel/oil dripping from the bottom of the heli. when i got home i pulled the motor to find one of the head bolts completely vibrated out....i re tightened them all and put the motor back in the heli. i also read somewhere the any air gaps such as this could cause the same problem..

Yes, for sure, if you had any loose head bolts you would have a lean running problem.

If your head bolts were loose and it sucked air be thankful it was just a plug, most of the time that blows a hole in the top of the piston.
