Does anyone know if I can use a Futaba T6EXAP (AP as in Airplane) for a Kyosho Concept 30 Heli? What I mean is, does the radio have to be specifically for a helicopter to work, or can I set throttle and pitch curves into the controls to so as to fly a helicopter. My helicopter has two servos to control cyclic pitch (one fore and aft, the other laterally), and an entirely different servo for the collective pitch. The throttle also has it own servo. Thanks - Gorchew

some one might come along with better knowledge of you set up but in the mean time I'll try to help, first your have to have the rx to go with your tx, futaba don't work with other RX's,
Most TX's do both planes and heli's, If you go in to your program on your TX there should be page for which mode, this from your manual, and is the start, I won't go on with any more cos the bit I think you wanted to know is does your TX work with the heli's RX and that's no it doesn't, to make your TX more like the heli one all you have to do is take the back of your TX and take the small spring leaver of from the back of the gimbul [throttle stick] it's what gives you that ratchet feel, it has a dent onit, hit it with a hamer so the dent is flater put it back, the throttle should be smooth, job done,
you want HL for heli and I think your head set up is S1,
1. Access the Model Select function in the programming mode (by pressing the MODE and
SELECT keys simultaneously and holding them down for one second). To select the model
memory, select model type, press the DATA INPUT lever, and hold it down for 0.5 seconds
until the desired model number appears.
2. Push SELECT key twice after seeing on the screen the model memory where you want to
select model type. Then you will see “ACRO” and “HL” or “HELI” and “AC” on the screen.
3. To change model type, push the DATA INPUT lever and hold it down for about two seconds.
“HL” and “AC” blinks first, and then it stops blinking with a sound. The current model type
“ACRO” or “HELI” is displayed.
you can down load the manal if you don't have one from futaba,I hope this is your TX , 6ex
