Default Thunder Tiger Mini Titan E325 V2 Versus T-Rex 450

I have been flying a Raptor 30 for a year or so and can fly in forward flight in figure 8's, etc. On the simulator I can do loops, rolls, hammer heads, etc, but with the Raptor 30 my fear factor kicks in and I fly around in level flight. I would like to figure out how to overcome my fear so I can advance. My concept was to get a lower cost electric that I can practice on. What smallish electric helicopter (outdoor) would people recommend? Is this the right way to overcome fear of crashing?

I don't need a super 3D machine, I need a machine I can fly around my large front yard or school yard, build flight time, and get over my "fear" so I can progress. What do people think of the Thunder Tiger Mini Titan E325 versus T-Rex 450?

Those are both good machines and they are really really fast and twitchy.
I would pick the trex over the tt mostly because of parts availibility .
May I suggest a mcpx micro heli you can fly it in your yard or maybe even your living room if the mrs doesnt mind .
And is very forgiving in the wallet when crashing .
good luck on your dicision

You can get a 500 for not much more than the 450.  And I am speaking clones here.

I have the EXI 500 and have it flying ready for less than 400 bucks.  If I added up my reciepts...I might even be in it for under 300 bucks!

It is TWICE as big as the 450 (roughly speaking) and that means a lot for orientation to me.

Im a tad behind you in skills as I am not really letting myself go and fly a pattern yet.  And its all nerves because I can fly so much better on the SIM just because I know it wont cost me time nor money when/if I crash it there.

I think I paid about 130 bucks or so for my EXI 500 ARF kit.  Bought the cheap value electronics kit (servos, ESC, gyro, motor) by Copter X for 99 bucks...and a set of CF blades for about 25 bucks.  That is a whopping total of 254.00

I already had an AR7000 RX and a couple of 5S 4000mah packs that I am running in a couple of airplanes...so there was no cost there.

Best 250 bucks Ive spent so far and if I crash it...well Im only out, well you know...250 bucks!  lol

Good luck

In these small electric helicopters is there any value to digital mini servos or are the standard mini servos good enough?
