Default which servo

I am thinking about getting a caliber 30. I already purchased a gy 240 gyro for it and am wondering what I should use for serovs. I was thinking going with fma becaue they are fairly cheap. Does anybody else have any ideas? I use a futaba radio.

Dont skimp on servo's, being a 30 size you wont need digital 8411's, but should buy a good BB servo for it.

3001s will work well. If you have the money, 9202s are better.

For the rudder servo, the 9253 is ideal, if a bit pricey. The GY240 won't take full advantage of the 9253, but it will help. If you can't spend that sort of money, a 9202 will be better than a 3001 due to its coreless motor (faster acceleration).

If you are just starting out with helicopters, precision (centering) rather than speed or mega-torque is the most important thing.

I've tried Hitec 545s for collective and cyclic. They worked OK for me. The Hitec 525 (slightly faster) didn't really work better than a 3001 or 9202 on rudder.

I would steer you to 9202's
The will grow with your flying , what do I mean.
Thats all I use. I would put digital on the tail servo , but 9202 are I would think the best bang for the buck ,and lets say you were going to move up to a 60 thoses servos would work great.

Why did you get 240 GY and not 401?

I went with the 240 instead of the 401 because I got a really good deal on a nib 240, and I could come up with the money for a 401. I also got a really good deal on three brand new never used s3001 servos so those will be the ones I use for now. Anybody have anything good to say about the s9250 to use with the tail?
I do have two nexus 30's one was given to me for xmass two years ago, the other i bought off my old roommate really cheap, I bought if for spare parts the reciever and the engine, he said it has less than a gallon of fuel through it, so i will be using that eninge in the caliber 30 when I order it.

Default 9202

I have 3 of the 401s driving 9250s. I have no problems and would not trade. I do not fly fast backward flight but with the backward flight I do they hold great. Mark
