Thread Starter

I have been offered a bbc stork of unknown vintage.
As it is for free, I will accept it anyway, and see if it can be made airworthy.
Can anyone enlighten me with som stats on this heli, production years, weak points,
parts interchangeability, and availability.
Regards
Lars

Hey guy,
why don't you make a call to Jeff Green at Hirobo. I hear he is a super nice guy who will always help someone with heli problems. he could probably answer your questions. I can tell you, In my humble opinion, that a lot of folks are getting out their old helis and resurrecting them just for the fun of it.
OC Bob who hangs out on rotory.com just had a fun fly in NJ for old helis.
there is a thread on runryder.com for old/vintage helis you could check out also.
I am ressurecting an old 60 size Schluter Twinstar scale helicopter. It is very big and in good shape. It will be better when I get done.
Good Luck

The Stork was one of the early all plastic offerings from Japan. (1985-86) It was released shortly after the first "Blue Canopy" Shuttle. Powered by a special edition OS.46 & fitted with a plastic version of the SST-DDF head that was the top of the line for Hirobo at the time. It also featured a belt drive T/R.
I flew one & it was quite stable as most ddf heads were. Power was ok.
