Default Measuring static thrust with load cell

Hi y'all,

I have a new RC helicopter and wish to measure thrust. I have a load cell which I am hopefully going to use to measure it. If I am to attach to helicopter to the load cell so it is constrained. I will then measure the weight before the rotor is running and after to get a force difference. Would this be the thrust? The load cell is quite bulky so I can't really put it above the blades to the force above

Thanks,

Michael.
