Default "clutch lining on Irvine 36 engine"

Hows it goin guys, I've a concept 30 srt with an irvine .36 engine. I've had it flying a couple of times, with the inevitable happening (a crash !!). Had to replace most of the tail rotor section, tail boom, main blades, clutch, etc, etc.
When replaceing the cluth liner should the clutch be totally free to rotate inside the drive gear or should there be contact with the clutch liner. If there should be contact how much friction do I need against it for the engine to turn over. Also how does the clutch disengage for the blades to turn. Any help would be great.

Cheers !!

No your clutch should not touch the liner, your clutch bell should spin free. I'm not sure what the gap should be with a feller gauge. If your clutch touches the liner the blades will spin when you are trying to start it (and thats not good). If your liner is to fat you may have to sand it down or use a lathe if you have one. Just make sure you do it evenly all the way around.
