I haven't flown in approx 8 years. Both my 700 nitro helis have Sprktrum AR9000 receivers and neither one will light up when power is turned on. AR9000 are not available anymore. I need to know what Spektrum receiver will replace them. Thank you.

Open up the covers of both receivers remove the board out and give it a good clean up with some bristle brush using kero or any friendly agent like Inox etc. There is most likely some oxide build up after all these years, I do it regularly with mine while living the beach lifestyle.
Give also a rub with very fine sandpaper to all '3 pinned' servo connectors. Easy fix.
