Over the last few weeks I've really been listening to ya'll here on RCU!!!! And just to show you how much I appreciate it, this afternoon I was in my back yard and I had my wife SNAP this little image for ya'll to see how good I've gotten over the last few weeks:

Nice Job Kirk.....you have learned a lot from us, it shows. You will improve your skills as time goes on and move on to more impressive maneuvers. I had my wife under mine balancing it yesterday while I went in and made a sandwhich.

For what it's worth, I know it's hard to believe, BUT this is a REAL photo. ONE SHOT. It was done with a digital camera, and it was opened in photoshop to size it to fit here.

Color corrected and I ran an UNSHARPEN MASK.

But that's about it, NO layering.

Drafter:

Well, yea, that's why I can fly it upside down on my finger.

KIDDING!!! NO it is NOT an AUTO PILOT!!!!

It's a aluminim thing that holds your rudder servo. The closer you can get your rudder servo to the tail, the better and smother the response. (LEARNED THAT HERE).

The reason you do not put it all the way to the back it because, 1. it would throw off your balance, and 2. THAT STINKING servo is EXPENSIVE and I'll be darn if I have a boom strike and break that servo.

Thanks for asking.

JOHN VH!!

I'm so disappointed in you. THINKING I did this in PHOTOSHOP!! I'm, I'm, I'm, speachless, I've never been hurt so deeply!! And esp. since YOU were one of the ones who's helped me so much!!

HERE'S some questions for all YA'LL who DO NOT THINK it's REAL and think I did it in PHOTOSHOP:

1. HOW did I get the gas in the tank to go in the right direction?
2. HOW did I get the lighting (sun) to all go in the same direction?
3. IF I pasted the heli from some where else, how did I get the blur of the blades to show trees through it?

JUST a few things to make you GO HUMMMMM?????

The first one to explain HOW I DID IT will win a NEW CAR!!!!!!

Look at his hair! It's not waving and his shirt neither...

Pretty simple eh? Send me the car plz... Mail me and I give you the details!

kirk

4-22-02 in the eve. you couldn't even figure out how to set a pitch and throttle curve for FF flight.
took you only 7 days to fix the heli, set the picth curve right and learn flying inverted (thumbless) ?
spend you time on the field instead of photoshop but then you are a "Occupation Pro Photographer " and have all the toys...

the blades would cover up the trees in the background and no background would be visible (at least partial and clsoe to the head)

how come you have some unexplainable white "shade" around the red blade (close to the head) ?

i even can turn the gas "upside" down in photoshop in a few minutes.

no light (sun) therefore no shade.

and why the hell am i up at 3.00 am ?

Hmmm. No smoke, engine not running? Unsharpened the photo to hide the line suppending it upside down over you?

Hang it in the air, get the blades spinning by hand, get in position and snap the pict?

Default lol, nice try.

The problem is that the line at which the fuel is sitting is NOT paralel to the ground, in other words there is a slope where there should be none... and that is the smoothest hover I have ever seen, the fuel is NOT moving at all.... maybe it's from running sooo lean... with no smoke and all. John VH havn't you tought him better than to run an engine so lean!? Shame on you!!
