Default What controls fore/aft movements?

was just wondering what controls the fore/aft movenents of the heli. Is it the rotar blades, or the flybar?

Should the flybar be balancing level when all controls are in neutral, or does it self level once the rotar is spining?

Default RE: What controls fore/aft movements?

The answer is "some of each". The pitch on the rotor blades is directly controlled by the swash plate, and indirectly controlled by the flybar. The flybar applies some leading pitch to counteract gyroscopic forces.

Should the flybar be balancing level when all controls are in neutral, or does it self level once the rotar is spining?
The flybar is free to float, and it tends to find the correct position relative to the swash plate while it is spinning. The flybar paddles help to drive the flybar into position, because the paddles assume a neutral angle of attack when the flybar is properly positioned.
