Default Base loaded antenna

I know this has probably been beat to death before, but I am about to use one on my new Z230, and I need a sanity chack.

Who here is using one, and how has it worked/not worked out for you?

This is the quote from the manual for the Z230:
"Due to the additional RF interfearance generated by the Zenoah G23 Gas Engine, it is strongly recomended that a Base loaded whip antenna (RVO1010 shown) be utilized and mounted in the proper location as shown. It is not recomended that the standard receiver antenna wire be used as radio interfearance (glitching, PCM hold, ect.) can result. Please folow the specific whip antenna instructions for attachment to the receiver."
They seem to use pretty strong wording about the use of a base loaded antenna, so how about it......I do have a deans 1 piece waiting.

Thanks

Default Base loaded antenna

I use Revolution antennas on all my machines. I just mounted one also on an X-Cell carbon gasser that I got and don't have any problems with it. I have it mounted on the side frame pointing out to the front under the radio tray. Range check with engine running is at least 100'. Radio is a JR 10X with 649 PCM receiver.

I have never had a Gas heli, But I have used Alpine, Deans, and Revolution whips, all work good, with the Alpine looking the best and the revolution being second best. My Xcell60 used to get a hit every once in a while until I put a whip on it, no more hits. People say the deans is a little more fragile, but mine works, its up to you.

Default Loaded

I tried the loaded ANT.
I really perfer the Plastic tube with the wire run along the skid.
Works great on my X-Cell 60 Gas with 53 gallons of gasoline.
