You can make your own, no need to buy a kit one also cheaper too. First get some kids arm bands that they used to train to swim with and make a frame to attach to the skids of the heli to the arm bands floats. About two arm bands each side, total four. Looks not that good but it works.

A lot of people are just using wooden douls and them foum noodles you see people swimming with in the summer time. Just make a set, it works great. You can make them as wide as you what (for them big waves). You can get them at Wal-Mart, Toys R-Us.

I just ordered mine from heliproz.com in the 30 and 60 size. I can't remember how much they cost, but they were cheap and they work really well. I built a mount for them so I just strap them to the skids and fly. They are tougher than the float things for kids and won't pop as easy. I do loops and rolls with them on and they seem to be fine. I don't think I would trust a dowel for gear to connect them. If they come apart and don't stay connected, thats a lot of money at the bottom of the lake.

I made mine from the larger dia. foam floats from Wal-Mart.
Had some window screen frame in the garage, cut 2 pieces from the frame to use as cross members, made them 3 inched wider than the skids.
Epoxied the cross members into the foam floats just above the centerline of the floats to give stability in the water. Cut the floats long enough to support the weight of the heli with extra to spare.. Floats a bit higher in the water with longer floats

15 minutes and $5 later... Floats for the Hawk. Also works on the Raptor.

My Titan with Pool Noodle floats on a test float in the bath after making them. Going to put some carbon rod (off my training gear) through the middle of them so thy don't bend behind the skids then all will be good. And only cost $3.00 Now just gotta get the guts to fly off water with them.............

Don't dilly dally when you power it up, get the head up to speed or that shaking you see during spool up will be amplified many times.
