?? so a 40oz lightweight is better in wind than a 6lb or more helicopter ?? why don't you come over and we do a little test flying here...
you will change your mind after the first gust offsets your heli about 15ft...

True a heavier heli will do better in wind. As long as its blades don't touch the ground. Sir the LMH can be flown into the ground and often no damage. $20 MAX So the fear of crashing is removed. It is just a beginners heli yes but after 3 to 5 crashes it pays for it's self.

I flew my Ergo 60 in a 25mph breeze about a month ago. Crosswind! Had it leaned over about 15 degrees to keep it from blowing away. All I tried was a hover. Won't be doing that again anytime soon. No crash, but my nerves were shot.

I wouldn't rate myself as a very experienced heli pilot but I'll fly in stiffer 'breezes' with a heli than I will with my 'planks'.
I flew my Raptor 30 in a demo at a Cub Jamboree (young Boy Scouts to you international types) last Sunday. Winds reported by the nearby airport as 30 knots gusting to 60! Not very enjoyable but I remained in control enough to mange some very mild aerobatics. A tree on the upwind side provided enough windblock to aid the landing.
LMH? I sold mine long ago, didn't handle stiff breezes very well, let alone winds. Terrible in a loop, worse in a roll, truly sucked at inverted work.
