There are 'A' cell batteries that can have as much as 2700mAh capacity. 'A' cells are slightly larger diameter than 'AA' cells and just barely longer. [link=http://www.hangtimes.com/rxpacks.html]NOBS[/link] sells rx packs made with these batteries. These are NiMH batteries. Be sure to use a good charger to get the most out of them.

I run a 2700 mah NIMH pack in my Raptor 30. It usually lasts way longer than me.

The best built packs give the best performance. I've aquired several packs from NoBS Batteries and they do an outstanding job putting up great packs built for R/C. You can pay a LOT more for a battery from shops like SR, but you can't get better built battery packs at any price than the ones built by Steve at NoBS. Check them out at www.hangtimes.com .. you won't be sorry you did.

with the set up you discribe, you should be getting more time.

are you sure there is no binding going on? that could really cause battery drain.

just a thought

theres no binding, check everything linkages, rudder rod, main mast swash and spindle tail oiled. Do you think its not my charger, Im using a wall charger and charges it for 15 hours and get 1 1\2 tank[>:] . Anyway I already ordered a 2700 nimh nobs batts(www.hangtimes.com) and super brain 949 at tower. Any comments about this battery and charger would be appreciated thanks. I hope this will solve the problem.

Ahh, the wall charger. There might be your problem... If you forget to remove the battery from the charger just once, then that's it. If your wall charger is 50mA output then your charge time (from dead .8v/cell) is 20 hours... so 15 hours sounds about right, if the battery was partially charged to start with.

That Superbrain will allow you to correctly charge your batteries every time. You may even be able to revive your old battery. Enjoy.

I have a Li-ion coming from www.fromeco.org for my raptor50. I will be able to fly all weekend without having to charge it now!

15 hours x 50 mA = less than required to charge a 1000 mAh battery. With the wall charger, 22 to 24 hours would be better.

50 mah cannot charge batteries with 1000 mah or more at least 100mah. even if you put it that much hours, its just not gonna work. And with 1000 mah you can only get less time hours to fly and as your getting good on your heli its gonna pist you off except if you have a peak field charger. A least 1700 mah rx bat. will make you happy

Rember your gyro eats lots of current mine is a gy-401 with 9254 feel your servo after your next flight and see how hot it is from constant working.
