Default control rod length

hi everyone,
I have picked up a used falcon 46 after losing my hawk sport and wanted to (well did) upgrade it with some hawk parts I had laying around. What I did so far is switched to 10mm main shaft, changed the collective and aileron levers (from sport) and added as many bearings as I could, rear rudder servo mount, header tank and that always important head button, hehe. Anyways I don't know what lengths I should use for the pushrods, sport ? falcon 46 ? sport se ? falcon se ? se2 ? I'm so confused, I'm still in the hovering and forward flight stage so no 3d setup so far. What do yous guys think ?

thanks

Default RE: control rod length

The OLD Falcon 46 should not have been called a Falcon as it really was an old Hawk II (a much different heli then the current Hawk Sport) that had a different motor mount and a longer tail boom to accomodate the longer 600mm blades. The Falcon 46 really has little in common with the Falcon SE or the SEV2.

You have done away with the 8mm mainshaft system of the old F46 and installed the far superior 10mm system from your Hawk Sport. This shaft is a fair bit longer, so you will find that the control rod lengths from the Hawk Sport will work very well. Note, be sure to use the complete collective system from the Sport as well because it uses the longer elevator A-arm that is also required.
