Well, it was a nice evening last night so I got me balls out and flew the rappy without the training gear! The first lift off was a bit nervous but after a couple of trys I had it down. It flys much better without it, deffinatly!
I even videoed it lol... Just trying to edit the vid now.
Im thinking this is a pretty major step on the learning curve, I only tried it tail in for the first time out. Whats your thoughts, should I leave the tg at home from now on or revert back to it for practice on the side on hovering?
Heres the vid, its just hovering so dont bother if your on a slow connection...

Hi
just waiting for your vid to down load'
I would'nt take of the t/g until u can hover in all positions.
I was doing lazy 8s and curcuits abit boring I know not what u want to hear !
but just imagine u get off course abit or wrong stick it, or a gust of wind catchers it you will loose your orientation and might panic
If you put it in its gona cost !!

If you feel confident doing basic manoeuvre with the TG and now you feel confident landing without it. Why go back...?
I remember that the first flight I remove it, I was pretty scared. now when I help newbie setting up their heli, I can't imagine it was that much scary! hehe I seems so easy after a couple of gallons only.
The only rules that you should check is : Do it at your own pace. You could stay with your TG for a full year if you think you need to.
