Just wondering; Why are you so concerned about how they ship?

Simple UPS comes to them and picks up the packages, With Priority mail they have to go to the post office. The tracking for Priority mail is a joke! all it shows is that the package shipped and nothing in between.

I would agree... I would probably buy more from them if they shipped priority mail... UPS delivery from Montana to Indy sucks unless you want to pay big $$$'s...

I started ordering from Rick's because he does do USPS. $4 gets me what I need in 3 days. UPS ground is a slow and expensive. Heliproz also has a terrible web site, very few pics and very scattered. I have had no issues with HeliProz, but Rick's is just easier to use.

I think most of the mail order guys would use Priority Mail, if the postal service would do pick up's like UPS and FedX does. But that won't happen. And if it every did the Priority Mail rates would go sky high.

Yeah maybe, but if this is so. Then why don't the mail order shops use it? Remember the packages have to be weighed too.

USPS: the tracking is a joke and expensive if you actually want to have a signature. even priority mail can take a lot of days. dealing with insurance with the postal service is a nightmare. insurance IS EXPENSIVE.
UPS: is reliable and easy to deal with (and what's the big deal about 3-4 day shipping?). tracking is easy.
FedEx: has the cheapest ground rates, but they don't guarantee the transit time.
i am sure heliproz can accommodate your shipping needs. i never pay for shipping since orders are always above $100.- i find their website super easy to use and they have outstanding customer service.
i tried to order twice from ricks. and they called me TWO days later, telling me it's out of stock... that would never happen with heliproz... but that's off the topic and got nothing to do with shipping methods...

I am sorry, but complaining about shipping for heli items is kind of a waste of time IMPO. I to am one that makes my orders for over $100.00 so I dont even pay for the shipping. If I don't have to pay for it, I dont complain about it. I am sure it can be had quicker for a price. Call them and ask. I am betting that they will offer you the premium shipping, at a premium price. But then this thread would read "Why does 2-3 day shipping cost so much from HeliProz"? And by the by. None of the sites mentioned, that do use priority shipping, does so for free. So I think it is a mute point. I have had nothing but great results from useing HeliProz. And will continue to use them, and their slow, free shipping. Just my thoughts on the situation.

I cant believe all the gripping over priorty mail .. If you want they will ship anyway you want it...Heli proz has been really good to me and the advice I have got when I needed it was right on every time .. I would think they are better than the LHS we used to have .. I will order from them first just for the service I have got there .. I have also been there and met them and they are as good a bunch as you will ever find anywhere .. Also what do you guys want?? they ship it free and none of the other places will do that.. If you want to find out what shipping will cost if it were you sending it ,you would have a lot more respect for the way they do ship ...........

Heliproz will ship via USPS, but it is not an option on their web page you just have to ask for it.
Living in Canada, I will not order from anyone who only ships via UPS. UPS has their own clearing house to get things over the border, which adds about 50% to the shipping costs. A friend ordered a radio that was shipped UPS, the brokerage fees were over $100. I had a radio shipped FedEx and only paid $25 brokerage fees.
If you can handle the extra time for delivery USPS is even cheaper.

So then why does Heliproz not use Priority Mail?
