I know you can adjust the cut off voltage , how is this done accurately? Do have to have something to generate a precise 4.8 volt and adjust the gem till I get the cut off i want?

As a matter of fact, I just did this very thing. I set an adjustiable power supply to exactly 4.80 volts on a digital volt meter and hooked up the geem 2000. I then adjusted the trimmer pot to get the light just to go steady. I then slowly uped the voltage a bit and the light started blinking. Then I backed off the voltage and the light went to steady again just a tad below 4.8v.

just a smig above 4.8v but the calibration between my equipment and their's could be the reason. nothing was wrong with my gem, I was just wondering just where they did set it.
