ok all....... ive posted this on "the other forums" with no real responses..... I have a Jr 8103 radio and im trying to make it work with a GV-1 for setting up 3 speeds? Surely someone has done this combo before! What mixes are you using........how can i accomplish this with the 8103....... its got me really frustrated trying to figure it out.... upon first attempt i had it set for 1550 rpm (headspeed) but it hit 1790 on the skytach..... i might have that problem figured out ( my own stupidity) but i cant get it to change speeds!!!????? any takers out there to help me out.... im really fairly new to helis anyway so if you have some answers remember to speak in laymans terms!!!!! Dont loose me in the technical mumbo!!!! thanks in advance......... Wes
p.s. very nice and FAST forum!!!!

My Feedback: (38)
OK, I wrote down what is all changed in my directory.
I dont know what RX you have, but I am using a hitec 8 channel in my Raptor30.
I have the AUX ON OFF on the gov. into CH5 on my RX. which toggles the gov on off with the gear switch.
The CH3 Off Gov is into Channel 1 on the RX
The AUX RPM on the gov is into a Y with my Battery and goes into channel 8 on the RX. This one lets me switch the speed off my f.mode switch on the TX.
Loosing you yet?
SWPT off
STSW inh
SWCD tells if gov is on or off, it says on then off when I toggle it
GOV OFF inh
MXMD gov
MG I think is servo travels
ATVB 100%
MSX norm
MTRM inh
B/FS act
B/FD goes up and down with my throttle stick
LMT idle
TST idle
Let me know if this has helped at all

Wes,
I have some set up with my JR 10X set to use Aux 4 dial to control the headspeed from 1600 to 1800. Let me know if you don't get it sorted out and I'll give you a hand.

ok......got it all hooked up the way that john suggested. all seems to work ok except for the fact that i have it set for a head of 1550 in normal, 1630 in idle up1 and like 1700 in Idle up 2........... this was just a starting point to get the bugs worked out....... when i tried it in normal it hit 1790 in normal and god knows what it was at in idle up 1......... it was screamin and way to twitchy for me to hang around in IU1 to tach it......... why is it so far off???? has anyone had this happen to them???? its got me stumped.

Wes,
Do you have the correct gear ratio entered in to the GV-1? Did you mount 2 magnets in the fan? If so is one turned opposite the other so it won't register? Do you get a sensitivity reading of 93% when the magnet crosses the sensor?

You didn't happen to plug the throttle servo into the slot for the mixture did you? A guy did that here and was really messed up with it. This is a good setup site that helped me when I installed mine.
GV-1 10X setup.
Wrong link. I just fixed it
