Default Tail control problem

I've got a hawk sport with a JR 460T gyro and Hitec 425 on the tail, and it was flying and reacting fine the last time I flew it 2 weeks ago when I took it out today the tail immediatly started acting funny it seems normal on the ground but when you get it into the air it gets really twitchy, when I just touch the stick it jerks around, and also has a very unpredictable fade to one side then the other at any given time. So right away I check linkage for binding and replace the servo with another one like it, with absolutly no result. My next idea was to replace the gyro. What do you think?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank's Steve

Steve,

I have the same gyro and having some of the same problems, see post "Another tail wag problem.." I have learned that there are so many things that can cause these problems. I think my gyro is bad, because I have eliminated alot of the problems others have told me about. Do a search through the forums and eliminate as many as possible before getting a new gyro. I am interested in what you do to solve your problem.

bconway Thanks for the reply, I took it out again tonight and tryed everything I could think of with no result. Might be a while before I get back to it so might take me a whole for me to post, but when I do I'll be sure to let you know.
