Ok here is the question.
How do you take care of your custom paint job canopy's?
What do you do?
To keep it looking great?

Yes
Well guys this is what I do.
I do not know about you but, Paint jobs are pricey.
What I do is wax the crap out of my canopy's.
10 layer's worth.
All I got to say is the fuel and grim comes right off.
Not like other People I know.

I occassionally wax with paste wax, every few weeks, but I always finish clean up with an application of a touch up spray wax that Armor-All sells. I also clean up with soap and water rather than alcohol, since alcohol cuts wax pretty quickly.
Over the long haul, you can see the difference in a canopy that is maintained well waxed, just like you can with a car.

No big deal...
Hi Guys,
There's nothing scary about maintaining your clear-coated heli canopy. It has the same high-quality finish as your car (assuming the painter used automotive products. Just care for it as you would your car's finish.
You really shouldn't wax a freshly clear-coated finish for 60 days. That has a tendency of trapping solvents and increases the cure time.
To reduce the amount of fine scratches, try to rinse off all dirt and debris before using a rag on it. If you do get some scratches, any good auto paint supply shop carries cutting/polishing compounds to restore it to it's original high gloss.
Hope that helps.
