OK I've bought a sim, to try to save some money on the inevitable crashes that I would have without one. Can anyone point me in the direction of a very very beginners page that would explain such things as: What should I be using to control lift? throttle or collective. I have used the hoverfly which has no collective, so I am tempted to keep the collective full on and use the throttle to control height, is this correct?
HELP!

First off a real R/C heli (not a hoverfly) the thro and collective is combined when you move the stick both move(thro & col). What sim are you using?

First of all do your homework on the net. Read some of the rc universe forums for helis, and search the WWW for more resources. Here is to get you started... Http://www.helifever.com With collective pitch helis there are many things you must consider. It is more complicated then fixed pitch but more rewarding when you understand it. You must learn how to set up the throttle/pitch curves etc... Any other questions ask away!
