You can leave fuel in the tank as long as you keep it sealed; loop the fuel line from the vent line to the clunk line. As mentioned, you definitely want to clear the engine of all fuel and put after-run in it to keep it from gumming up.

Remove all fuel from your tank, and use an after run oil on your engine for sure. With my planes, the nitro will cause the fuel lines to go bad -they will need to be replaced if ignored -including the clunk line. With higher nitro contents, it is worse.

I've never had a problem with the fuel lines either. I loop back the fuel line to seal the tank to keep moisture out (alcohol loves to suck up moisture!) and to eliminate the evaporation.
heli-john: I should have brought a heli to work with me today; it was 72 degrees and sunny! Of course there was that 25mph wind thing.
