I have owned a Caliber 30 for a few months and have had about 30 good flights, until recently. The first flight of the day everything runs great with plenty of power, but after refueling for the second flight it has no power. It is harder to spool up, and barely gets off the ground. The first thing that i then do is lean out the engine, engine seems to run hotter when doing that but has tons of power. Again after landing and refueling for the third flight it has no power, can't even get it off the ground. I have replaced the glow plug from an os #3 to an os #8 and all of the fuel line. I am also using coolpower 15%. Any ideas anyone ???

I have the similar experience. The Caliber 30 was not able to take off after my third flight on the field last friday. I found out the tail rotor was somehow twisted 90 degrees. The servo was not able to move it at all. One of the set screw was also gone. I had to twist back the tail rotor 90 degrees back. I still have not figure out how the tail rotoer assembly was able to be twisted at the angle. I put another set screw in. Test flight, no problem. I think it might be the design error.
Good observation,

I also replaced the original 1000mA Nicd receiver with 2000A NimH battery. I need to recharge after two flights. The NimH battery just last twice as long. I use JR550 gyro+JR 8700 super servo with CCPM setup. The extra capacity is just great.

If your out and about this weekend, stop by Sat after 4 pm or so, if your current AMA you can fly there as my guest. Its about 2mi north of co rd 81 on hwy 169, turn left at 101st ave, will see white shed, and if its a nice day, will see plenty of activity. They might be having races starting at noon, If you want to watch them stop by earlier, some of the planes are 200 mph.
