Default Hirobo or Raptor

Hi all
im going to be getting a 50 size heli in july
I was originally set on getting a Raptor 50v2 but ive read a lot of good stuff
about the hirobo shuttle sceadu.
also watched it being flown on a helicopter world dvd.
does anyone have any thoughts on what one i should purchase,
my local model shop sells both .
many thanks

The EVO is the better version of the Sceadu. Either version is better than the Raptor. I have flown both, most people that answer this are biased towards what they own and usually have never seen the one they aren't recommending. The only advantage the Raptor has is replacement parts costs.

i flew the raptor 50 for over a year and was always very happy with it, then i had a go of my friends new evo after we finished running it in, within 24 hours i'd ordered one for myself and once it was built up run in and flying i got to like it that much that i decided once the raptor went in i wouldn't bother re-building it, and i didn't, the sceadu has a smoothness and ability to track really straight through maneuvres that the raptor 50 seems to lack, it's a noticable difference, and pretty much anything i could do with my raptor 50 i can do better with my evo.

Hi,

I own one of each and fly them both.
I first got the Sceadu, then the Raptor. They both have the OS 50 SX-H Hyper and Hatori muffler.
The Sceadu is technically much more advanced than the Raptor. It has much more parts as well.
You can also look at it from another side and say the Raptor is more simple and staight forward.

I would recommend to get a Raptor first because of its simplicity and low-cost parts (you will need some!).
A Raptor can wear out quickly if you fly much, so eventually you will need another one.
At that time, get the Sceadu.

I agree, the Hirobo Evo50 is a better heli then the Rappy 50, with a better head and more dependable belt drive system that requires less maintenance. But you need the speed up pulley to really make the tail perform. But my favourite 50 is the Century Raven 50. Everything about it is "60" class.

Thanks for all taking the time , its really interesting to get the views of ppl
that have or do own both.
Im convinced the more i read that i will get the hirobo , like i said before i have a
hirobo xrb, and im impressed by the way its all set out.
What is "the speed up pulley"
is there certain things i should get for the evo 50 ?and were is the best place on
the web for Evo info & parts .

many thanks all
