Angular Vector Control System gyro ????

I have the 2 axis Futaba GYA352, I have it hooked up and installed and came to realize when its set to the Angular Vector Control position, after you move the stick, the servos do not come back to neutral position, is this correct? If so, how is it supposed to keep the heli flying straight after a stick input?

Servo travel is not proportional to stick movement in HH mode. That's the way it works
. It will hold the helicopter in whatever direction you put it, and then modify as it needs to, to keep that heading, untill you tell the gyro otherwise.

Yes, but when you let go of the stick after the heli has stabilized should the servo not come back to a neutral setting, if it didn't it would fly away. If I move the stick 3 or 4 times to the left the servo is all the way to one side of its travel and stays there, this does not make sense to me, the heli would simply fly away and never come back. I figure when you let go of the stick sooner or later it needs to come back to neutral but it doesn't.

Put it this way, if I want the heli to sit there and hover, and I just put in the odd stick movement to move it to the left or right a little then have it stabilze to a still hover on its own this will not work?

With an AVCS gyro, on the ground you get the behavior your talking about.
You give stick input. The gyro (not the stick) moves the servo. The helicopter doesn't move to match what the command was so the servo stays offset. If you were to rotate the helicopter to the new heading the servo would end up back to center.
In rate mode a gyro just dampens movements which is why it returns to center.
In flight the heli would move to follow the gyro command and the servo would re-center.

So what happens if you have this on elevator and ailerons? If you gave right input on the heli, it would go to the right, then when you let go of the stick, does it stop moving to the right or would it keep going. I need to to stop and go back to a hover.

It would stay to the right. You need one of those auto pilots for what your talking about.
If your trying to assist yourself learning to hover, throw some wheel collars on the flybar by the paddle, it will slow your response down and make the rotor system more stable. Of course it wouldn't be as aerobatic.

I better tell you what it is so it will make more sense to you. I am working on a Harrier and am in the middle of testing the engine and puffer jets, and i need the gyros for ailerons and elevator stabilization. What is needed is a gyro that makes it hover in one spot, then when input is given to the bedstead it will move accordingly, when I let go of the stick it needs to stop traveling and return to a hover.
I have a feeling this gyro will not do that.

nope. you'd need a very complex stabilization package. something like fma co pilot for harrier jets...probably be a one-off and a very expensive one at that. https://www.fmadirect.com/site/fma.htm?body=Store

Its working, It weighs 33 pounds full of fuel, and lifts up no problem, but if it gets away from you on hover it will go wild, I just need the right gyro for it, I don't know if that exists.
