I was wondering what is the best way to remove paint from a Raptor canopy? I don't know what kind of paint is on there, but it is starting to melt off and peel at the edges.
thanks in advanced

I'm new to the heli world, but I have been running nitro trucks for a while. I found that brake fluid will take off just about any paint. Ihave used it on many lexan bodies. i do not know what the heli body is made of so i would test it on a spot first. Just make sure you wash it good with some dish washing soap and make sure you get it all off. hope this helps some.

Thanks for the tips guys. I used the instructions from canopyfx's website and it worked perfectly. the paint came off just like in his pics. But, the canopy had been primered and that was very difficult to get off. The lacquer thinner didn't work all that well on the primer.
Now that I got the paint off, what type of paint should I repaint with that fuel won't dissolve? Will Pactra work?

It is not the paint that you use it is the clear. You need to use a catalized clear. Or a clear with a hardener. You can shoot water color as long as you clear over it well. Innate.com sells small quantities of house of kolor paint. Check him out.

Joe is deman on this subject, but I have always automotive base coat for my base colors. I have used the primers as on Joes site. Then I used a fill coat to cover well to stop any transparecy issues from cropping up when using candies or transparent blending colors. Then I used a silver similar used on motorcycle paints. After this I came back with color and blended 3-4 were I wanted them and clear coated everything after it cured. The I sanded with 600 grit and with 1000 grit and shot a last clearcoat for a durable hi-gloss shine that will not soak up. I use a touch up gun, but the off brand guns I had bought for 20 bucks at a flea market worked great as well.
I would go with the automotive paints if possible, you can buy aeresol cans of fuel proof paints at your local hobby stores as well.
