I've always loved my Intrepid .60. I just retired the YS ST-1 that's given me a few years of reliable power and bought a YS .80 to put in it. Before that it went through two OS .61 SX-H's. I'm not flying as much as I'd like to these days being more involved in the turbine jets scene and all, so I'll be pulling out of the FAI/3D stuff and move into sport scale, my favorite. Got a large BK-117 that I plan to convert to a MBB-117M with the Vario 4 bladed system and mate it all to the Intrepid frame and drivetrain thus the move to the YS .80. Looking forward to many more years with my Intrepid!

I have a 60 3D and a gasser. Awesome helicopters! With the Bergen control system, there is no need for CCPM. Expensive to crash though, as are all top of the line helis.

I just got a stacked frame Intrepid 60. I talked with larry yesterday about converting it to a gasser using the new 26cc engine. Makes it kind of nice to live in the same town were these helis are made!! I have been to Larry's shop quite a bit lately and I always seem to leave more impressed every time. Yesterday I got to see one of the twins fly and all I can say is WOW! Can't wait to get into the air with my bergen heli. Charlie

Heya Charlie,
Congrats on the 60! Was anyone at the field Sunday? LOL
I went with Larry Friday and Sturday to IL. I had to fly the Twin for a demo. That thing flys GREAT!!! Now if I could only convince Larry to let me 3D it.
I bet it would tumble real nice, it handles like a 90. It is a bit intimidating with those 810mm blades and twin cylender engine, not to mention the $4000 price tag.

Will be down there on Thursday, will have it in Las Vegas on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Guess the club will have to enjoy the warmer weekend without me.
I'll be thinking of you guys when I'm standing around in the 70 degree weather.
