Default Raptor ????

I just bought a raptor 60 from someone who lives in Co. About 5000 ft above sea level. I live around new orleans La......... -6 ft BELOW SEA LEVEL. He shipped the heli and i am wondering how should I set the needle valve when i get it? Should i richen or lean it out???

Strictly from an altitude perspective, you will need to richen the mixture. However, there are other variables in question, including fuel choice, temperature, and humidity. All will affect the needle setting. I don't know what engine you have but a good starting point for the OS 61 is 1-1/4 turns out on the high end.

The best thing you could do is move to a location above sea level. If that's not possible I would initially say richen it, but CO is colder than LA so it might even out. To be on the safe side I would richen it up before I started it and do the tuning from scratch.

When in doubt, richer is better, you can always lean it in to get more power.
