Default Hirobo Sceadu Evo

Hey There

I am just completing construction on a Sceadu Evo and was wondering if anyone out there knows wether the tail blade grips on the Evo are supposed to feel 'loose' in relation to the bearing and thrust bearing. They appear to move in and out as well as side to side, and this seems a bit strange. The thrust bearing is around the right way according to the manual, but my gut tells me it should be the other way round, ie the smaller inner diameter closest to the tail housing, this would seem to prevent the 'looseness'

Any ideas would be much appreciated

Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike,
Yes they are supposed to have that feel, they tighten when centrifugal force acts on them when they spin-up. I'ts just the way they designed it

Wouldn't hurt to take the grips apart and check the bearings. You can see which part of the bearing has the larger inner diameter by sliding it on the hub and moving it side to side. The part with the smaller inner diameter won't move, but the one with the larger inner diameter will.

Find a way and get it fixed. If it costs you a new tail hub it's still far better for it. FWIW, the hub is only around 5 quid at the most.
