Basic reciever question
Hello everyone. Quick question, I just bought a Raptor 50 on ebay and it came with a Hitec 8 channel reciever. I will be using the Futaba 9 CAP transmitter. Can I leave that receiver in there even though they are differant from one another? It has a Futaba crystal in it. Thanks, John....

RE: Basic reciever question
if the receiver is ppm and the radio can be used on ppm then its fine....
the hitex rx should have hitec xtals thos
if either of them is pcm, then you need a new rx

Yes. I currently run Hi-Tec receivers in all my stuff even though I use a Futaba 7C transmitter. Your 9C is modulation selectable so if the receiver is PCM, just be sure to change the modulation in your transmitter to PCM for that model you assign the Raptor to. If its FM, change it to PPM.

RE: Basic reciever question
pcm is not transferable..... as someone said, they all transmit in different codes (pulse code modulation) and so for instance futaba tranny wont work with hitec pcm rx...
BUT.... any ppm rx will workwith any ppm settable tranny
