Default Help tracking down vibration

I noticed yesterday that when I flip over to idle up 1 the vertical fin on my Freya starts to vibrate side to side by about 1/4" either side. Going to idle 1 increases the head speed. Where would you suggest I start to look for the cause of the vibration or could it just be a harmonics thing?

Gary

Default Help tracking down vibration

Hi Gary,

I would look at the fan/clutch assembly to check it is running true.

You dont say what engine you are running, but the cooling fan could be causing the problem due to the increased speed..

Most the weird vibration problems I have heard of have been traced down to the fan assembly

Let me know if its any use.....
