Can anyone help.
I have just completed my 1st Heli, based aroung the OS 46 engine which is using a Genisis 46 muffler.
Using 5% CP fuel and a OS No. 8 plug.
I have set the needle to 2 1/2 turns and the mixture to 1 1/2 turns. (As per instructions)
I just can't get the thing to start, I have checked my glow starter and that is ok.
I am new to this game so I can't work from past experience.
Please any advice on settings?
John

The next time your engine does this take a hemostat and clamp off your feed line and crank it until it starts .If your glo plug is good and it is getting lit by your glo ignitor then it should start. It can only be no fuel or no glo. Tim.

If I stop starting the engine and the retry, it has become so flooded, the next time I use the starter it is jammed. I then have to take the glow plug out and let the fuel out of the engine.
Do you think my the settings are to rich?

It is too rich. This is a pretty common occurence with heli's.Try 1/12 turn's out on the main.On some heli's after you fly them you have to hemostat the main fuel line off to keep it from siphoning when sitting idle.Even after you get it running it is a good idea to stop it with a hemo and that will assure you of a dry engine on the next startup.
