From: Northern, NJ,
I just got a JR8103 and JR Venturer 30 size. I have no previous r/c experience (except Radioshack trucks
), and I havn't yet started to put it together. Does any body have any suggestions or warnings on assembly, things that are specially tricky or difficult. I would also appreciate some help with the lingo I may find in the manual, and finally and most importantly, how is the manual? Will I be able to put it together using no other resource. Thank you

The Venture comes with a great manual for a beginner, even setup info is there for your 8103, just follow the manual to a tee, and have a local expert check it out for you when completed. Its basically already done, as it is an ARF. I would invest in some tools, like a pitch gage, metric ball allen wrenches. Blue loctite every bolt that goes to metal, and CA bolts that go into plastic- small amounts of each. Daz...

Great package!
First of all, check out previouse pages for posts concerning Venture set-up. If you get to the right ones, they will tell ya about the fuel line.....fuel tank etc... if ya don't find it just let us know, glad to help!
1. I agree with Dazz, follow book, and you will be in great shape!
2. Check the covering on seam of the blades. If the covering is cracked, dab some thin super glue on the crack, or contact Horizon and they will send ya a new set.
3. It would be great if you had someone in your area who could kind of help ya. Local hobby shop..... or even post it in General discussions. We can help ya get the Venture built, and they can teach ya!
4. Although not necesarry, but a flight simulator such as Realflight can and will help you tremendously! Keep us posted! Don't be afraid to ask any ?'s.
