do any one make a scale fuselage of that heli that came in the movie "Rambo". I think its Russina made and the name might be Hinds. The heli look mean with the wing and the rockets mounted on the wings

The aircraft you mentioned is an Mi-24 Hind D. It's the mainstay for Warsaw Pact forces, and there are literally hundreds of variants of the aircraft. The photo I've attached is of a real Hind that I saw in person while deployed to Bosnia Hercigovinia 1995-1996. Also there are two flying at Ft. Polk LA used in training exercises for the U.S. Army.

I like the Mi-24 Hind also. One of my favorite helicopters. Many Latin American, Asian, African, European, and Middle Eastern nations use that helicopter. I don't know of any kits though. I guess you have to scratch build it. You should find profile drawings and photos of the helicopter. I mean everyone knows what the Hind is. Best known for the Afghanistan War in 1980 and Chechnya.

Hi Apache !
We just finished our 2,30 meter body of the MIL MI HIND 24 D. Its designed for turbine or gasser mechanics.
If you are interested, just let me know by mail.
Best regards,
elliot

i read somewhere in this forum recently that the heli represented in that movie was a "hollywood version". i assume that means it was equipped with non-real original equipment fakes? :-)

I think the Rambo helis were actually built up to look like the Hind A, Not what NATO classifies as the Hind D.
A similar looking a/c was used inthe movie RED Dawn, the one with Patrick Swayze in.

@ravinglooney and skyflyerrob
Thatīs what i wanted to say. The helicopter in the movie is NOT a Hind...
@wiwanczyk
Yes, thatīs the "russian" movie-helicopter, a french Puma AS330. But the title of this website is incorrect, itīs a AS330, not a AS365, which is better known as Dauphin/Dolphin...
The Mil-Mi24D is also available there: http://www.baymo.de/hind.htm
