Battery weight
What is the maximum battery weight for 30 raptor and for a Vigor? I was going to get some battery packs made at the local Interstate battery sore and they have much to choose from. I was thinking 1500mah NIMH SIZE AA , or sub c size nicads or the 5/4 aa NIMH 4000mah. Any Thoughts? The two Heli's I bought did not come with battery packs.

I just found web site http://www.superbatterypacks.com with 1850mah aa size packs and think I will try those.

I just want to let you know that if you don't have a good charger that will charge nimh to be carefull. I made a battery pack of nimh and I tried using my wall charger and the next day I went out and my wall charger was discharging it and it resulted in a runaway crash. I now have a good charger. We have tested a bunch of different batteries and I don't really notice the difference.
