Default Which receiver ?

After much consideration and confusion I've settled on a package that consists of;Raptor 30,Airtronics 6000 Super radio that has 94322 servos & related supplies. My question is which receiver would be good with this combination ? I guess they aren't included so I need to know which one to get.I don't want the cheapest but I'm also budget minded so the most expensive is out of the question.

I am really supprised if the reciever isn't included in a new radio set... I'm pretty sure that you will get a reciever with the Airtronics 6000... Whether it's PCM or just FM might be an option and the FM is usually about $50-60 cheaper... Either will work, but I fly with PCM almost exclusively...

Why would you chose a raptor and airtronics ???? The raptor is junk and the airtronics is 5 years behind Futaba. I am not very happy with the Sceadu but it is alot better heli than the Craptor. Either way, go with PCM so when radio contact is interupted, you will be able to set the throttle to go to idle, this is not only a safety issue but it will save some money when you hit the ground.

All the RD6000 systems come with a 92777 Rx which works fine on my Raptor 30. I am using a Hitec Supreme on my Raptor 60 and this one works well also. The RD6000 Regular and Super
versions are both PCM capable but the Sport version is not. The 94322 will work well on aileron, elevator, throttle and collective but ideally you will need faster evo on the rudder.

Comparing apples to apples the RD6000 Super is a better radio than its Futaba competition the T6XAS. The RD6000 Super has more features and mixes - more of everything at about the same price. The Raptor 30 is still probably the best entry level 30 size Heli for the buck.

Everyone has an oppinion like they all have bung holes, but all in all I think the raptor is the way to go for entry level since you are going to crash eventually and the parts for the raptor are very reasonable. Just be thankful you didn't get a nexus since the parts are almost double then the raptor and there is hardly any upgrades out there for the nexus. I would say that you would be getting a reciever with your package. I have bought a lot of radio's over the years and I have yet to see one come with out a reciever unless you get up in the high dollar JR's or Futaba's and they say transmitter only, but if your getting the transmitter and servo's I would be pretty positive you get the reciever too. Good luck flying and hope you have as much fun as me.
