Default Event Attendance

I'm still fairly new to helis - 6 months or so- & I Love attending events & watching the Big Dogs & the good 3D'ers but just dont feel comfortably flying at them. I can only do some mild acro & hope to get better but??? How many of you are in the same boat & how would your participation level be if you could go to an event centered around a milder style of flying, sport & basic stuff & save the hot dog 3D for demos ever couple of hours or so and maybe get the factory reps to spend a little more time showing how to do what they do instead of showing us what they can do.

Alot of the events I attend I see 10% flying & 90% watching - could this be it???

It would be great to participate. Pity I'm new as well and can only hover, nose in, take off and land. I can't do anything fancy. Oh well, good things take time.

I went to 10 helicopter events this year! Most all of them awesome. Met and goofed around with the top pilots in the world! I usually try to fly at least a few times. I mostly watch and learn. Since this place does not have a Heli calender Use this one

We actually have an event forum.

I termed my event "Helicopter Fly In and Clinic" just so the newbs would show up and be comfortable.

Hey Dan I've met you at a few of them. I'm Steve - that usualy hangs with Will & the Min Air guys. Last event we met was the MHA event. Would love to make it up to the Beginners day there having but time wont allow. Hope to see you again soon.
