Antenna question
I have probably the strangest antenna question you have ever heard.
I used to have a fishing rod custom build/repair company, so I have a bunch of used/broken fishing rod parts. I have taken the upper section of a two piece fishing rod and fitted it into the mounting holes on one side of the landing gear frame. Now my antenna wire is manageable and there is only six inches or so loose at he end.
Has anybody done this before? Pluses/minuses?

Antenna question
if it's a graphite rod you could be blocking the tx signal to the enclosed portion of the antenna, which reduces your effective antenna length to the 6-inch exposed section.
