How do you build an electric rc helicopter? Specificly a scale one, like the bell jet ranger. I know how to build rc planes.

This may sound a bit sarcastic, but I do not mean it to be so, but I always build my helicopters (as I do my Airplanes) by following the instructions that they come with.

They usually come with adequate instructions to get them built properly.

But more important then with airplanes is the set-up and flight trimming. If you are a newbie to helis, then just as in airplanes, but even more important in helis, is to find an instructer who can insure it is set-up properly and to flight trim it.

from scratch?! Why? lol i understand building planes from scratch, i do that but a heli is a different story...especially if you havn't built/flown one already
Generally the scale ones you see are regular heli's such as the trex except people have put on a jet ranger shell (or what ever shell) and maybe done some other little things to make it look right. The heart of the helicopter is still a trex or what ever model they put the cover on.

Where would you get a bell jetranger shell?

This is just a question of intrest, don't expect be to build a helicopter from scratch, just to let you know. Anything i build from scratch breaks apart in my hands, literally.
