wow! their's an oldie.... i think you may be better off getting a new one. i can gaurentee you will crash (every one does) and once you do, that's it for that heli. you won't be able to find parts....plus newer helis are easier to fly do to newer technology.

Dude let that go. You would spend A LOT of money getting that flying.

That would be an interesting long term restoration project but to get something flying to learn on its not at all practical.

Post pics of it on Rotory.com. As long as Mike Mas has been in the hobby he may know what it is.

Looks a bit like an old Kavan Ranger but I'm not 100 percent sure.

Barracuda is getting close. Kavan did make that one as a kind of profile job of a ranger. I remember seeing the ads and whatnot as I had a full Kavan Jet Ranger and paid attention to those sort of things. I don't ever remember those having a body or fuselage on them.

Good luck

I believe it is called an "ARK"

Noahs Ark.

Id get the dust on it carbon dated, it may be from around that period.

Kidding aside youve got your work cut out for you there. It would be an interesting project getting something like that flying. Then again I like these modern helis. Even my 'GMP Cricket' 25 years ago was a handful to fly. No gyros, computer radios with expo, dual rate, ccpm etc.

Sorry to hear the unscrupulous LHS took your money for a radio then closed. That would have delayed you even further.

Good Luck.

I think you need to post that question on a different thread - way off topic.
