can I put a os 50 in a shuttle, is there a kit to get it in. I have a shuttle RG and would like to get the power to weight that the 90 sized birds are getting, with out the investment. I have been doing all kinds of searchs and I havent really come up with any info. I figures all the other manufactures have 50 upgrade kits hirobo would to, but I am having no luck. I also hear the 46 is a drop in replacment to the os32? is this true, would the 46 be enough, or should I go with the 50.

Mike is a drag racing nut... he fly's a shuttle with an OS46. i'm sure he could provide some insight on how to get a bigger motor into your RG.

to get 90 type performance from your RG, you're going to want to sling 600mm blades and have the all-up weight at no more than 7lbs... even then, i think the best you'll get is 60 size P/W (still pretty good). another thing to keep in mind is the main gear ratio at 9.63:1... most of the 46/50 heli's out there now are around 9.0:1.
consider a Sceadu50 or Raptor50v2. both are 7 pounders, able to run 600mm blades, has a bigger fuel tank, and if you're into auto's... both have a constant driven tail, something your RG cannot do (RG has a slipper type drive if i recall).
