Default One great Son

Take a look at what my son got me for my fathersday. It is an original Dieter Schluter Huey Cobra Helicopter It even came with the AM Transmiter in the box. The first time I seen one was in 1975 and like the most of us back then we could take a look and that was it. But NOW I am OLD and I have the BEST SON on this earth he gives me this.
This heli has never flown it is perfect the engine still turns and the blades are wood . This heli will never fly because it is very rare and no parts is out there to buy for it. But that is OK. I will bring it to the next meeting tuesday night so get ready. Oh Yea it has the BLUE PRINTS wit it and they are 8 feet long and about 3 feet wide. My son is still on the little Island of the Dominican Republic for a few more weeks but I want to take this time to say thank you John J you are one GREAT son
Im all in tears

Johndale,
It looks great!

I have two. One was my father's. It was something like the 12th one on the country.
I bought a second one to fly. It may get in the air this year!
Good luck with yours.

The body will not come off. The mechanics is very little. It is fixed pitch and only has 4 servos. I am going to put this one to look like the one I flew in Vietnam. As for flying it right now it is a NO. This came with the blue prints and has never flown. This is an AH-1G and they were only flown by the US ARMY the Marines flew AH-1J they were twin engines.
