If this is a set up question, the throttle and PITCH servo should work together on all collective pitch helis as a standard setup. if there is mixing involved then that's a different story altogether

Throttle and pitch should work together. What radio are you using? Is this a CCPM machine? It sounds like you have a servo plugged in to the wrong port on the receiver.

The hawk IV is not CCPM. On mine, with a futaba reciever, I have the aileron in one, the elevator in two, the throttle in three, rudder in 4, and pitch in 6. This is using an 8UHPS. The hawk can be set up using one servo for both throttle and collective, leaving you with only a mechanical pitch/throttle curve, so you can use an airplane radio.

I just ran in to this same problem yesterday when I was helping a fellow set up a Raptor. He had the aileron and pitch servos plugged in opposite. The aileron would work with the throttle.
What radio are you using? The channel assignments are different on different brands.
